Ok, I got a A7N8X-E Deluxe ASUS MB.
Running one minute and crashed when on the internet
trying to download Bit Torrent.
On bootup it will mostly just give a black screen and never
beeping like usual before starting the memory test.
Everything seems to power up all the fans are going, keyboard lights flash,etc...
just no beep...nothing.
Ever so often it will beep and go to the memory test screen , but it freezes
there and doesn't cycle the memory it just freezes there.
I tried diconnecting the HDs, CDrom, NetworkWireless card, Memory sticks
one at a time....nothing seems to be the cause.
I was wondering if the MB is shot. The thing should boot and run a memory
test even if the HDs are bad correct? It should let me in the BIOS without
freezing correct?
Could something have blown on the MB?
Any ideas I could try?

Sounds to me like dead memory.
Try pulling a memory stick one by one , (assuming you have more than one
piece of memory), and see what happens.

I would check the elecrolytic capacitors on the board.
If they are bloated or leaking, that is most likely the problem.
I had an epox board that was totally stable until one day it
just decided to spontaneously reboot all the time. Bad Caps!
I replaced them, but it is not an operation I would recommend
have a look here:

Thanks Kim I will look for that.
I didn't notice any blown caps,(leaking)but I will check again.
I looked all over the board for fried parts but didnt see anything.

on a dual channel DDR MB, maybe you have to take care for what slot is used
for your mem sticks even with one stick.
maybe you can try to check with one stick, in each slot.

Just for laughs, try re-seating the graphics card, (or try a
different one, agp or pci).
From memory I had this happen some years ago, and the damn thing
came good after a jiggle.
It was wierd, but it seemed that the physical shape of the case
only allowed marginal connectivity of the AGP card into the slot.
One day the whole system cacked itself until I pushed on the card.

Also (not having followed this thread), I assume you have reset
the bios by moving the "clear cmos" jumper (somewhere near the cmos
battery) momentarily.
Regardless of whether your bios is corrupt, or fritzed,
this couldn't make matters worse.

Hi, again, Brandon.
It appears "Bios Saviour" is a tiny add-on pcb which will
in effect give your motherboard a dual-bios capability.
(a backup solution).
As far as I can tell, your original bios needs to be intact
for it to work.

Sorry I couldn't condense my thoughts into one post.
The fact that on occasion the mobo has started to P.O.S.T. leads me to think
that the bios is not fried. Corrupt maybe, but a reset could fix that.
If not, I am speculating that your power supply rails have
become marginal. Do you have any way of testing this?

Kim,
Thaks for all the consideration.
I have tried reseating the video card.
I totally forgot about reseting the BIOS.
I will try that tomorrow.
If you can tell me how to test it perhaps I could, but
I don't know how to check the power supply.
Seems to be working fine though.
I ordered BIOS Savior with the chip already programmed
with the latest BIOS for my comp.

I tried the CMOS clear and no improvement.
I swapped power supply and no improvement.
I tried different memory stick configurations and no improvement.
Any other ideas?
I am still waiting for the BIOS Savior to arrive.
I have another MB exactly the same, but it is my audio comp and I don't want
to risk any damage to it so I will just wait for the BIOS Savior instead
of using its BIOS chip.

Oh man!
No. I have no more ideas. It seems you have tried everything I
would have. I hope Bios Saviour works for you, otherwise it may be
some other component failure on the mobo. In which case, it's probably
time for a new one.
Taking the plunge with a fresh install is worth it though, IMO.
