DJ.......Very sorry to hear of your loss. He seemed amazing!
I too, lost a bandmate, and dear friend, and the audiio industry lost out
on on a High Fidelity advocate!
Dean Roumanis worked at Krell manufactuing, running the whole operations
of the company. He was the COO and part owner. Krell, of course, makes
high end high fidelity components.
He also had a duo wherre he played bass with a guitar player and they did
some innovative, creative music.
He also played piano and keys with me. You can actually see and hear him
playing at my concert, since I put up a clip of one of the pieces on my site.

I'm very sorry to hear this. The obituary was very interesting and humorous
at the end. :)
Did he design that amazing power amp they are marketing now that adjusts
voltage to signal level (zero distortion)?

I honestly don't know. It was more likely the owner who engenered it though.
Dean had a basic knowledge of electronics, but he was not a full fleged
engeeneer. He used to have stuff fixed for me once in awhile and he would
say he would take it to one of the guys in the factory that knew what they
were doing. But he probably had some input on it though.
Years ago, he gave me an Aragorn power amp, which I still use with my Thiel
CS-2 speakers for my home hi-fi system. When I called Aragorn to ask about
upgrading it, they said it was one of the first amps they made and that it
didn't even have a serial number or model number yet. They remembered it
and Dean though. It is so smooth sounding.
Dean was also a neighbor of mine for some years before they moved about 15minutes
away. Great guy. I think about him often and am still shocked!

Sorry. I forgot to post here about putting up the video. I actually have
a whole DVD of the entire concert, but never put it up for sale or otherwise
on my site. I get lazy!! LOL I got some great musicians to participate,
and it came off really nice.
I was under the impression that people needed Quicktime 7 to view it but
I am not sure about that. Maybe it is not needed.
