I removed all Cd drivers, and there were too many.

Restarted with the new DVD burner, same crash.
Checked the driver, it's the only one available.
Removed it under safe mode.

Put in the original Cd burner - worked for 3 years until now.
same crash. checked the driver . no problems there.

Can't thank you guys enough for your help.
Looks like I need more!!!

I did a search on the blue screen VXD--- error.
It's nothing new and has plagued various Cd applications for years,
sometimes
with no known solution. S@$&*%$#T!!

Luckily I don't need a Cd burner for a few days.
