Sonar 2 and PARIS [message #102693]

Hi all,
I'm getting alot better at this and starting to get the hardware together.
My recording tech friend visited and gave me ALOT of help. He wants to know
if I can run Sonar 2 with PARIS. I am assuming he means Sonar would be the
operating software using PARIS hardware. I have no idea, so here I am again:)
My next hardware purchase is a mixer and I'm currently looking at the Mackie
1402 VLZ3. It has 6 mic pre-amps so I can save my money for a good tube pre-amp
and use the 6 built-ins in the meantime. Should I spend a couple hundred
more for the buses?

No. Even once the ASIO drivers for paris are correct, I wouldn't try it.
SONAR 2 is plagued with ASIO issues. Now, if Mike writes WDM drivers, that's
a different story... those work fine in SONAR.
As to Mackie, I'm told that I probably don't want to invest in them anymore.

I picked up a 403VLZ3 mixer last fall (had a project where I needed a small mixer)

gotta say... it may have been the best $99 spent on gear for me in quite some time. at its price point... it is a killer little piece.
