Are the main stock I/O on the MEC or 442 the same than the 8 in or out ?

I believe the i/o on the MEC master section and 442 are 20-bit. The MEC 8i/8o modules are 24 bit.

I originally thought of this as an important distinction, but now with the perspective of hindsight - the difference between the MEC master i/o at 20 bit and the 8i/8o modules at 24 is so trivial that it makes less difference than upgrading the brand of cables I connect things with.
