I want to add an RME 9652 so I can run Reaper alongside Paris with ADAT sync, and I'm out of PCI slots.

I don't want to buy the full 4 slot expansion box from Virtua Via, and am wondering if this one slot adaptor will work fine?

Hey Ted, I bought one of these adapters to run a PCI UAD-1 card in my Paris box a few years back, it worked great.
Still have it today in my PT10 rig, running this adapter with a PCI UAD-1 and also have a PCIe UAD-1 card, so I would say, give it a shot.

Ted, if I remember correctly, I just got mine off of ebay, I dont think mine is a virtua via brand. Also, I seem to recall that it was a bit cheaper as well.

Wow -

That looks good. They have a Toronto hotline which I just left a message on.

I already ordered from France (the shipping was as expensive as the card) but at this other price, I'd pick up a few as backups.
