rrible, no presence what
so ever, had to crank the snot out of the pre to get any kind of level. This
thing must have been damaged in shipping or something because there were
warnings all over the box saying how fragile the 3 micron ribbon is.
Anyhow, there is my rant for the day.

een using Paris for quite a few years. And to be honest, I
only ever used the mouse. I never needed the C16 but I decided to hook it
up to use as a start/stop/record function at a location far away from my
computer. Of course I do not use the C16 for any adjustments, but now that
it is hooked up, my sound level is turned down to an extreme low (I have
to max out my headphone amp to hear a little). But, I unplug the C16 and
re-start Paris and sound level is back to normal (course, I am deaf now because
I should have turned down the headphone amp.. lol). Is there an easy way
to hook up the C16 and use it for start/stop/record only and not effect my
levels? Or is there another device out there in the audio world that will
allow me to remotely control just the start/stop/record functions with Paris
without effecting levels or anything else? Thanks... ~ EdEd,
When you hook up the c-16, make sure that the volume knob on the c-16 is
turned up to 0 (12 o'clock) . If it's not, it will cause the problem you
are having. You can verify the volume setting in the master section of the
submix the c-16 is connected to (monitor level). It should be set at zero.

Another method but more cumbersome is to mute everything
you don't want to hear. You know you can get three tracks per
submix when soloing too.

I know this has been covered before, but could you please
give me a quick updated summary.
I know you are a bit of a guru when it comes to syncing cubase
on a seperate box to Paris via the 9-pin adat connector.
My Frontier Dakota isn't doin' it for me any more.
From what I can make out, it's not going to any time soon.

on sustaining sounds like pads/vox.
It's a shame as its a great effect. I've been able to tame it by putting
a low pass after it but that compromises the sound.
