Greetings to the best newsgroup I ever did read.
You don't know me but I've been around quietly since near the beginning.
My studio has been in storage for a year.
I moved to Houston from BNA. I'm building a new Paris rig and I have been
totally out of the loop. I need a mbo with a Gigabit built in. I want to
try using wormhole etc with Nuendo. Any takers?
Blessings!
Michael

HI Michael,
Is the new machine going to be running Paris or just Nuendo?

Long time no see bro.. glad you're still around. I am in a quest for this
myself to find something that will house either my SBS or has enough
compatible PCI slots to do the job sans external PCI expansion - so far no
definitive answers with what currently on the market.

Hi Aaron!
Thanks for the response! I gues we will figure this out together. I'm pretty
sure we have to have a single CPU mother board. Any thoughts+

HI Michael,
Ah ok then well the hardware won't be that new then.
DJ has had great luck with the Gigabyte K8NS Ultra -939 motherboard.
I is out of production but can be had on Ebay.
Anything newer than that will be a big experiment for you.

Yup, single CPU. Dual need not apply on this, I've seen too many posts about
the headaches or having to disable the second core. The next problem is
enough *compliant* PCI slots to house the EDS cards. Here is where the
uncharted water/real danger lies. Who wants to try a newer slot to see if
the EDS lets the smoke out?
