especially like this tear jerker:

I think you should buy a PC. And run Linux on it. And use it for audio
production.

Somebody's got to be the pioneer here, and Deej is not stepping up. :^)

It's a late night at work and I don't have much to do, so I figured out to
use Mplayer on Debian to scrape/rip/save Real Media files. Now I can write
cron jobs to download all of my favorite www.bbc.co.uk/1xtra DJs when I'm
at work and listen to the archives when I get home.

Still not music production on Debian but it's something.
