James, we agree but disagree.. I believe that Health Care should be free to
all Americans.. AND, if you pay into SS, you should some kind of pay-off.

However, it's afact that when people go out to Vegas to invest their money,
the outcome is usuallly bad. The average american does not no how to invest
in the market. That would be like wall street preying on the weak and innocent.
basically robing them (us)..

Also, the Canadian medial system was poor(second rate) before they went national.
By going national, only did it polarize what was already known..

James, if a person today wantes to say those negative words they can, BUT
they must know that there is a consequence in saying them.

Yes, freddom of speech, but beware of the consequences when spoken.

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or
prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of
speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to
assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

Where is the line? In the USA, when there is a question, the supreme
court is the arbiter of constitutional interpretation.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Amendment

BTW, the newest attempt at a justification for the war in Iraq, the
slogan "nothing is free," begs the question of whether our military
involvement in Iraq is or is not an optimal strategy toward making the
USA safer.

There is nothing for free! Health care is not free. Somebody has to pay
for it. That would mean much higher taxes, so be prepared to pay for it.
The tax the rich lie is designed for the suckers. The middle class ALWAYS
end up with the bill!!!

Oh yeah, we're dumb, we can be trusted to invest. Just keep buying that
liberal line! I'm talking about choice, but you don't get it. So hold hard
to you party lines.

Go research what is going on in Taxes where they opted out of SS, and see
what they are getting on there returns.

The Cold War is not over! It's the communist that are keeping it all going.
Russia and China have been building up arms for years now! It is them that
are starting the arms race all over again. Go do some research!

I agree that it's best to have good relations with countries around us.

I agree that we can influence countries around us for the better. But
the best course of action and the best way to measure results are both
up for discussion.

I disagree if you think "love it or leave it" is a substantive political
argument in our United States of America. It's not.

I agree that our country needs a lot of improvement. LaMont was asking what
was wrong with communism. It was a bated question. I think Aarons point
was, if you think communism is so great go live it.

I can't speak for either LaMont or Aaron but I agree with Chuck's point.

And I also think we're beyond red-bating. It's better to discuss specifics.

Cheers,

James.. yes it's not free. But, seeing how much this country waste on stupid
things that we'll never see..and we're talking Billions my friend, health
care for all is fair shake.

Personally, I don't mind paying for someone who is less fortunate to live
instead of dying.

But, thats just me.

On a personal note. You can call me libral all you like, who cares?? Those
are my views. I have some libral views and some very conservative ones as
well..But, please don't think that you are insulting me with calling me a
liberal.. You're not. I take it as a compliment..

Except this is out of context. Read the 'whole' post.

*If you want to be able to admire leaders, why haven't you put more into
getting candidates here in office that you 'can' admire?*

perhaps you gleaned this out?

my point was go live it if it fits ya (hey, it worked for Cat Stevens/Yusuf
Islam and everybody was likely happier) , but do not bring it into this
house by invitation or looking the other way. Or fix /put more into what is
perceived as broken.
I for one don't want such open borders or calling a dictator a hero to
encourage another on soil attack, nor do I want to have to learn another
language because we get over run by illegal aliens and they won't speak the
native tongue, learn the 'house' rules in this country, or put out the
proper effort for their own personal prosperity.

What ever LaMont. Your the one that said enough, so here we go again. When
you say our government is shit and communism is Ok, your way off.

Your the one that started telling people that they are stupid and brainwashed.
I'm just saying that I think your the one that is brainwashed by the liberal
media.

Go read up on what is going on in Venezuela, the people are not happy that
they are being oppressed by a communist dictator. People are being shot
down there.

Communism flourishing in our hemisphere is a threat to our national security.
I'm the one that is saying that, not the CIA!

Getting out while he still can realize enough to retire comfortably.
Understandable, IMO.

I thought I have read plenty of places that Shavez was coming to the power
in a legal, democratic way, with free elections. How can a man be called a
dictator when he won the legal election? I must say I see Lamont have plenty
of points with his opinions here. So why try to crucify an American person
that's seeing freedom as a world sake with different behavings and not just
the way his gouvernment are seeing it with their footprints some places in
the world for some years now? As far as I can see, sitting in another part
of the world, this is not about the American people, it's more about
American leaders and their propaganda-manipulating with the American people,
that seems to have been very successful up against the years.

Doug, do you mean socialist are the same as communist? Here in Europe, it is
two different things, as we have talked about some years ago. In Norway, we
have a social gouvernment right now and it has nothing to do at all with
communists or dictators. As I can feel on most of the writings here, we are
more free as a nation than USA are in these days.

Well James, you just describe what our leaders did to the Natives of this
Continent when they so-called founded this land..Now, let's fast forward
to today..

Today we block all (Real) TV access to the war and other real events that
are going on. They would've blocked 911 if they could've.
Many today in the US feels like we are living under a totalitarianism. Oh
yeah, that's the cost of freedom.. Give me a break ..
