I fried my EDS card last week through carelessness, and Geoff from just outside
Chicago was kind enough to contact me to the end that I've purchased a system
from him that will arrive later this week.

Problem is, I'm scheduled for a session tomorrow. I have just returned with
a
loaner EDS from a friend, dropped it in the Mac and fired up the system.
No MEC
shows up. I disconnected and hooked it up to a spare 442, no 442. Both I/O
boxes
start their usual routine when I launch Paris, but both seem unable to finish.

The from TheSoniq, says that it's common for the digital board in the MEC
to get
fried when the card shorts, but it seems unlikely to me that the 442 is gone
too.

My question is: What else would cause a MEC (or 442) to not be seen at Paris
start
up?

Any help appreciated

Ted
