Hello everyone.
I hope this isn't spamming, but I thought I'd set up a blog as a
resource and a place for additional PARIS-related chat. Undoubtedly I'll
be touching on some other topics like REAPER, Black Lion Audio's mods,
bass playing and many others, but I'd like to hear what interests you in
audio too.
It's my eventual goal to collect as many PARIS resources as possible
into one location for my own lazy sake. To that end, I'm scavenging and
organizing as much of the existing PARIS practical-knowledge-base as I
can find on the internet into an additional website, which I'll put up
and link from the blog as time permits. I will very much appreciate your
suggestions and input on this. For example, I hope to put links to all
plugins that run happily in PARIS in one place - and in some cases,
where possible, even host the files themselves. SImilarly skins,
utilities, manuals, FAQs, tracksheets (I've made lots of new ones) etc.
I'd also like to take advantage of modern technologies like commenting,
media galleries to feature mixes and pictures, polls and many others.
If you're interested, I hope you'll pop by and take a look and offer any
suggestions for improvement that you care to (and then I'll let you know
what I can actually implement, because it's all Blogger template-based,
so it has flexibility in some areas and not others). While you're at it,
if you like, you could take the first poll too so I can start getting a
handle on how many users there still are.
You can leave comments in the existing threads, and we'll move to
enabling more advanced community participation, like the ability to
create your own threads, when I get a handle on how all the moving parts
fit together. I've posted an open thread for general chat, although for
the moment I'd prefer you not bring political/religious/platformwar
issues there, full stop. At some point I have the sneaking hope to also
set up the infrastructure for collaborative musical work.

There's not a ton of content there yet, but I hope you find there's some
intriguing potential, and I also hope to show you some interesting stuff
soon myself. I've started the ball rolling in a couple of threads.
Site policies are stated in the Welcome post, and participation
signifies one's understanding and acceptance of them. You can find them

They tend towards the simple common sense - you can't go wrong with the
courtesy Mama lern'd ya. Making the ability to comment subject to
membership in the blog and then policing the membership, or moderating
comments, is technically easy with a mere few mouse-clicks; however
comments won't initially be moderated until/unless I feel it's
necessary.
With that in mind,. I'm hoping I won't need to spend much time weeding
the garden there, and that people will voluntarily maintain standards of
discourse and S/N. Like all Canadians, I do have a "special club" I keep
in the family igloo, but I prefer to reserve it for times of need - say,
when I fancy a pelt for a new hat.

like, and let me know how I can make them better.
