This is the AC adaptor for the GC8 controller for the Roland R-880 reverb.
It's a line lump unit.

The one I have here is Model ACB-220 No 12449549

Can't seem to locate one here in the US as Roland US is about as worthless
as teats on a boar when it comes to legacy support.

If anyone has a line on where I might find one, it would be much appreciated.

So you need a 220v to 9V 1200ma power supply ?
I can buy one here in Greece for you and send it over maybe.
Are you sure you want exactly this 220v to 9v ?
What are you using a 110v to 220v converter ?
Why not buy a 110v to 9v 1200ma power supply instead ????
This is exactly what I think you need !!

Why do you need this?? The Remote powers parasitically from the R-880
down the 7 pin DIN cable... At least, ours do.

Dimitrios,

This is for the GC8 that came with the 220V R-880 that I got from you. I
am currently interfacing another GC8 that is using a 110v PSU, but I got
this one here in the US on EBay. Wouldn't the one that came with the 220V
R-880 require a 220V PSU as well? I am interfacing this R-880 with a 220V>110V
transformer.

I never could get this to work. Is there some setting that needs to be made
in the GC8 when powered remotely to allow it to get a feed from the R-880?

Hey DJ,
NO.
You only need to feed 9V to the controller.
It does not matter if your primary voltage is even 1000V !!
So you only need to buy a good 110V primary 9V secondary rated at 1200mA.
JUST CHECK polarity !
Behind the controller there must be an evidence of where is the plus going
and where the minus.
Just be sure , whatever power supply you use that polarity is the same.
You will not burn anything because there is always some kind of protection
with diodes inside the hardware but if it does not lit when connected then
you must have put it wrong.

Did you flip the switch on the back of the unit from MIDI to RRC? Oh,
and I guess it's a 6 pin DIN...

Standard 9vDC output, at whatever amps you need, will get it. Primary
transformer winding doesn't matter, it's about the output side. Typically,
Roland is negative tip but you'll wanna verify that on the unit or in the
manual.

Hi Dave,

Yes. It is properly cnnected with the switch set to RRC. No workee. Fortunately
the GC8 works fine externally powered.

Well ****. I just5 hooked it up to my US powered 9v adapter and it works
fine. I figured it would expolde or something.
