Hi
I'm in the process of purchasing all the components to put together my new system.
I got a MEC on ebay
a EDS1000 card and controller card.
also some in and out cards for the MEC.

Now i have a new DELL precision 9600 and i heard theEDS1000 card won't fit in these as it needs a 5V slot.
2 questions..

1. Ack.. does this mean i need a Magma system and still use my dell .. magma are quite expensive! Can i use an old G4 or G5 mac system? that would be cheaper that magma chassis.

2. And where can I purchase the software for windows?

Help appreciated..

You can use an old Mac G4 running OS 9.2.2, but that's the latest iteration of Mac that will work for Paris.

The Paris Software is platform neutral, runs on Mac (OS9) or Win ME, XP and shortly (now for some) on 7.

You can check the classifieds here for 3.0 software.
