I am trying to ad a second EDS1000 and I am getting an error message. Is there an arhived simple diagram of the patch bay set up and the insallation procedure I am missing.?

I don't think the patch-bay will be of any help. What would be of help is which error message you are getting, as well as your complete configuration.

Steve, when you connected the two EDS cards internally in the "x" shape, did you double check none of the connections were displaced by one pin? It's easy to get them one row of pins too far in one direction or the other.
