hi all-
I'm trying to sync an alesis adat M20 to my Paris adat card, and am having no luck. the opticals lock just fine, but Paris won't recognize the M20 via the sync cable. I've tested the cable, and it works just fine, when I use it to sync 2 adat machines together. I'm only trying to sync up the M20 with paris. there is no other adat machine in the chain. if I put a termination adapter on the out sync port of the M20, think that might do the trick? perhaps an update of Paris drivers might do the trick? anybody know how to solve this problem, or can even guess at what the problem might be? I guess there's always the possibility my Paris sync port isn't working, for some reason of damage, physical or otherwise, even though the opticals are working just fine, just as they should, with no problem?---
any help/thoughts at all, would be much appreciated--- would really like to sync up the fabulous, though outdated, M20, to my endlessly more fabulous Paris rig---
thanks
harry e

I'm running into the same problem I think. Thanks to Mike Audet's ADAT work, I have achieved optical lock using Windows XP, but not sync (before installing Mike's drivers, Paris couldn't even find my ADAT card). This is my first time using ADAT so I'm pretty sure it's user error.

When I go into the Paris ADAT control panel I get a message saying that an ADAT device was not found, even though optical lock is solidly lit. I'm thinking it's related to sync because that's not lit on my Paris ADAT card.

If you solved your problem and have any tips, I'd appreciate it. I've tried connecting to my ADAT device using two different DB9 straight through cables.

Hey Guys,

What version of the driver are you using? I have to admit, I haven't tried to sync an actual ADAT in a while. I have a couple of them beside me. I'll see if they still work.

All the best,
Mike

Hi Just fired up my ADAT LX20 for the first time in at least 15 years. It synced and played back perfectly.

Let me know if I can help.

All the best,
Mike

Hi Mike. I appreciate you doing that. I'd love to be able to see the sync indicator lit red like yours. My adat.dll driver's date is 8/13/1998.

My Alesis HD24XR keeps blinking "AdatSync: Reset Reconfiguring..." and sync doesn't light up on the MEC or in the Paris ADAT panel.
