I need some help on this...

I'm in the middle of a recording project, 19 tracks @ 24 bit/44.1kHz live off the floor. Things were going great till end of the day, I had a 'error queing project', and rebooted. Things worked, but about an hour later I noticed Paris was not as snappy anymore. Overviews are being drawn very slowly.

Now that the band has gone home, I can't even playback for more than a few seconds. I get streaming errors. CPU usage goes up to 100% too (no DX/VST plugins in use at all).

It's an older PC (Athlon 2.1 GHz), but it's handled this kind of load before. I'm not sure what's up...maybe a drive packing in, or CPU failing?

Anyone have any ideas that may help me pull off tomorrow's session?

Cheers

Kris
