have you considered breaking this into two discrete projects - one a "motorized C16" and the other a smaller "line lump" that would sit between any C16 and the EDS card and have a MIDI out jack on it?

I thought that one other guy already did the MIDI out thing?

the comparative hardware costs for the line-lump would be peanuts, and the market comparatively larger (folks that might hesistate at buying a $500 motorized fader controller would buy a $75 "turn your C16 into a MIDI controller" box without a second thought).

Sure, I think you're right on that. I suppose I should consider resurrecting the wireless module project too...

I can't wait until you and Mike get talking. He's bootstrapped himself into being a formidable coder and he's an absolutely great guy. He's put some time into scrutinizing the C16's quasi-midi "language" since his plan is to have it show up to the OS as a MIDI controller once the Win7 64bit drivers are licked.

Sounds good. I had communicated with him a long time ago, but we lost touch without doing anything...
