HI Kerry -

I can't post on the Reaper/Paris thread of last month, but I wanted to follow up on using Reaper into Paris "live".

It seems like a good thing to do, particularly since Paris will not zoom as deeply as all the other DAWs for editing drums (aligning snare & kick with overheads for instance).

1. Are you submixing in Reaper (ie drums) and streaming to Paris for buss duties, while at the same time running other discrete tracks in Paris for mixing - OR are you submixing all groups in Reaper and sending to Paris _only_ the busses for summing?

2. I would probably want to just edit drums in Reaper or Mixbus and send a drum buss to mix with other existing tracks in Paris. In this case I would use DGog or Slate Trigger for drum enhancement. Reaper will handle Delay compensation within itself, but how do you account for that with the other tracks in Paris?

3. Are you sending audio only through ADAT using ADAT sync? How do you find the 20 bit limit on Paris ADAT channels?

4. In a 2 channel buss scenario one could use S/PDIF in to Paris from the 9652 (to keep passing audio at 24 bit), but will ADAT sync still work in this setup?

Thanks for the help

Ted
