I've read DJ's posts about the scope cards and I'm giving some thought to
perhaps getting a the scope "home" card. I only have one EDS card and I'm
not sure if I've got this right. I'm thinking that I'd like to run the
scope card on the same system as Paris (AMD Athlon 1.7 -or something like
that speed, haven't got the box in front of me). I'm guessing that I'd have
to get an ADAT card for Paris and route the 8 aux sends to the scope card,
with the returns coming back through the same ADAT line. Scope is saying
something like 3ms latency. Have I got this right? Would something like
this work?
Thanks!

You can also get their convertor box, the A16Ultra, and run
analog ins & outs if you don't want to mess with the ADAT card
(or if you have trouble finding one). The Home card may or may
not be enough DSP for what you want to do, though... what are
you thinking about in terms of how you'll be implementing it?

Hey I am the pulsar geek here not DJ :)
Well you don't need neither the adat interface nor the U16 ad/da .
You can buy yourself a pulsar card with classic option that has spdif in
out and analog in out amoung 16 adat in out.
I suppose you have either a mec or a 442 interface.
So you could connect your digital inputs and outputs plus one stereo analog
in out.
So you can have 4 channels at least for starting to send and receive between
paris and pulsar.

Dimitrios

Hey Neil,
Thanks for the response. I'm thinking of using the 8 aux sends/returns as I
only have one EDS card installed and don't want to use up channels for fx
returns. I'm not sure how the synths could be used. I guess I'd have to
return those to a channel (or two) -yes?
I'm guessing that I'd want to use at least two verbs, two to three synths,
possibly a compressor or two. But, if I the home card would simply support
three good sounding reverbs -long, short, medium, that alone would be pretty
nifty.
Thanks again.
