Hi all,
I had a 'once per year' senior in high school start to study with me =
tonight. =20
He is using his experience here for his senior project. I was giving =
him an=20
overview of the studio build, hardware, software and life that I live as =
an owner=20
operator/musician. His reaction was what I had expected. Impressed and =
overwhelmed. He will be attending college for audio engineering in =
September.
Most oddly, I also started feeling overwhelmed encompassing my=20
accomplishments to date, albeit modest, and goals I still have. In =
verbalizing=20
it tonight I realized I am truly lucky to still be as motivated as when =
I was in=20
high school dreaming about how my career might unfold.
I hope we all appreciate the complexity and fulfillment of our =
artistic/scientific=20
selves. The rewards can seemingly be taken for granted as in my case. =20
