ce...He offered, I came back and we agreed, no problem (or so
I thought...).

I think I replied to your email already (about the price/fpo issue), so,
I'm not sure what your issue is.

Thanks though...

Anyone interested can e-mail me with an offer and we can talk.

I am located in Cochrane, Alberta.

Thanks,

Shawn

>I've heard that a couple of songs that I mixed were played on NPR a while
back and that another one that I recorded on a comedy CD is being used on
the soundtrack of some *animal house* genre movie that was made in Austin a
few years ago. I even heard a very brief snippet of one of my mixes in a
radio interview with an artist I recorded last year and I heard folks
talking about how they had heard a couple of songs I mixed on the radio here
but I've never once really heard one of my mixes on the radio.

I was driving down the road today surfing the channels and a song I mixed
and co-produced recently was playing on one of the local FM stations.

It was actually sorta' wierd for a few seconds. I wanted to call in and say
"Stop!!! It's not ready for this!!! I can do better!!!! and I started
picking it to pieces but then I just chilled because it actually held up
well and sounded good on the air.

It was a very gratifying feeling. I'll never forget it.I mentioned this before, but there are some great deals going on this month
for UAD-1 users. First, anyone buying a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th card gets a voucher
for $100 towards the purchase of plug-ins. The vouchers don't expire but
the purchase of the card must be made during August. As one example, if
you purchase the Flexi-Pak, that already comes with a $500 voucher, so along
with the August bonus you get $600 to use for plug-ins. Since Morgan at
ECMM sells the Flexi-Pak to PARIS users for $595, that translates into getting
the card for free! This of course is only true if you need/want the plugs.
If that is too much $, Morgan sells the version with few plugs (Project
Pak?) for $295, which given the $100 voucher for plugs means that you get
the card for $200.

I have no financial interest in shilling sales for Morgan (indeed, I've never
met him), but his prices on this stuff are great and the deal with the vouchers
is mighty attractive. Thought some of you might like to know.Shawn... I don't have a problem and don't care for people accusing me of
having one when you don't know me. If I wanted to bid on ebay, I'll goto
ebay. But this is not ebay. Ebay has rules, although their support is
flakey, at least there are rules. One would think that you learned your
lesson on the last off-ebay bid. Just say what you want for the items.

>Hey Ed,

If I want to take bids, what's it to you? This is not ebay, you are correct.
I didn't notice the part where it says that you can't take offers here.
In fact, this has worked out well with many people here and I've had no
problem. The fact that I agreed on a price after someone made me an offer
has no bearing on whether or not this is a smart way to do a transaction.
He could have very well agreed to my list prices and then flaked. I don't
really see your point.

Anyway, I assume that you and I will not be doing business, which is fine.
I guess I just wonder why you would even bother to comment, or to take issue
with my post? Just ignore it, if you don't want to make an offer! I don't
want to have an issue with you or with anyone.

Best of luck,

Shawn

I'm not too sure what your problem is. And to think that I thought you were
being the jerk! I made comments in my e-mail?? I'm thinking you've got
the wrong guy. Oh well!

This is too hilarious though- my first internet spat ever! Thanks!

Anyway, sorry to get off topic with this stuff. The items are still available
if anyone is interested. I'll post again in a thread without all this silly
melodrama!

Thanks,

Shawn

>Hey Ed,

After looking through this thread- I just want to offer my apologies to you.
Seriously, I think I just thought you were infering that it was my fault
that people were failing to follow through/commit because of my lack of listed
prices and I got a little too defensive. Anyway, I hope there are no hard
feelings as I never had any intention of offending you in any way. Apologies
for the sarcasm, too!

All the best to you,

Shawn

>Dear Parisians:

This system is virtually in new condition, with almost no wear and tear.
It has been in storage and virtually unused except for a bit of beta testing
a few years back.

EDS card, C-16, and MEC for sale, best offer gets it ASAP.
I am ready to move this system immediately.

Please e-mail me directly at

This will be my 2nd card and my first chance to purchase extra plug ins.

Thanks for the Heads up Gary, I just ordered a Flexi-Pack from

El Miguel
