Does anyone else out there own a behringer X-2000 patch bay?
The reason that I ask, is that I've just wired one up, and I've noticed that
if an A/B pair is set to "normalled" and then the signal is interupted by
patching a cable into the top jack, the signal that comes out of the top
jack is ground lifted. This adds a shitload of noise to the signal. If
I change the channel's setting to "open," the ground is connected properly.
So, I can make things work fine by switching the chanel to "open" if I plug
a cable into the front, but is this normal for a "normalled" patch bay to
lift the ground when a patch interrupts the signal?
Thanks for any insight into this!
Mike
