Just when you're all thinking "Come on, this is getting silly..."
It does seem to be the first suspect, the UPS.
This morning I awoke and it was down, and I did my usual, unplugged it and
plugged it back in... whirrrrrrrr... silence. Tried again, unplugging
it a little longer... whirrrrrr... silence. Hmm. One more try... same.
Unplugged it from the UPS and plugged into the actual mains, and boing, up
she came.
So we're running on straight mains at the moment. Time to start looking at
UPS pricing. I'll still get that spare processor anyhow as it's dirt cheap
and the fan is definately not happy, but I don't think that's what's causing
the outages currently.
Hopefully, now that the UPS is out of the circuit, we may see some more reliable
service for a bit. ;o)
Cheers,
Kim.
