"stockFX.ini was not found" and other setup questions [message #100092] |

Ah, the joys of getting set up with PARIS in XP for the first time.
Actually, it all went far more smoothly than I'd anticipated, but today
I was getting an error message upon startup -
"The application has failed to start because StockFX.ini was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
Oddly, PARIS then goes ahead and starts up normally, as if nothing had
happened. I searched my HD and there's no StockFX.ini to be found, and
the EDS plugin lists do look skinnier than I recall. Any ideas?
Also - running a two-card, two MEC system, with the two connected via a
WC cable (no external clock at the moment), will I still need to boot
into 48k to have two MECs function properly, or will everything work
fine booting into 44.1k? I'd be quite happy to never look at 48k again
in my life.
Thanks!
- Kerry
Oh, PS: any suggestions on what should I be looking at changing *right
away* from the defaults in my paris.cfg?
