I hope this is the solution for you bro.... be wary though, those are =
static sensitive chips. Take proper precautions installing/handling them =

Aaron,
Digi-Key was the place to go.
The chip is no longer made by Fairchild
but they had a pin for pin replacement for .88/pc .
I got ten just in case all three of my Mecs need
both replaced.
I hope this solves the whole problem.
Huge thanks to you my friend,
Tom

I'm not sure about the DM, but the 74LS series chip is pretty common =
TTL logic gate as I recall. Try getting specs at national semiconductor. =
Have you looked at the usual suspects yet?
Radio Shack
Mouser
Digikey
MCM Electronics
Jameco

Or does anyone have good companies that may stock
these older guys?
The one I'm looking for reads:
fP94AD
DM74LS =20
244WM
The results I've gotten so far aren't perfect matches.
I know it's unlikely but it's worth a try.
Thanks for anything you can add.

Thanks Aaron,
I'm not doing it. I have my tech guy with experience to
do the dirty work. I'm just watching over to learn.
Imagine a Fairchild for .88 . The glory of it all.

Hey Tom,
Found the digikey site, but I'm unsure what part numbers to reference.
Could you post the part number of the replacement chip?
Thanks,
MR

Aaron,
Digi-Key was the place to go.
The chip is no longer made by Fairchild
but they had a pin for pin replacement for .88/pc .
I got ten just in case all three of my Mecs need
both replaced.
I hope this solves the whole problem.
Huge thanks to you my friend,
Tom

I'm not sure about the DM, but the 74LS series chip is pretty common TTL
logic gate as I recall. Try getting specs at national semiconductor.
Have you looked at the usual suspects yet?
Radio Shack
Mouser
Digikey
MCM Electronics
Jameco
Newark
ECG
AA

Or does anyone have good companies that may stock
these older guys?
The one I'm looking for reads:
fP94AD
DM74LS
244WM
The results I've gotten so far aren't perfect matches.
I know it's unlikely but it's worth a try.
Thanks for anything you can add.

Mike,
At Digi-Key it is called SN74LS244DW. .88 a piece.
In the Mec master module there are two of these and there they are =
called
fP94AD (f for Fairchild as I understand it)
DM74LS
244WM

Hey Tom,
Found the digikey site, but I'm unsure what part numbers to reference. =

Huge thanks to you my friend,
Tom

Have you looked at the usual suspects yet?
Radio Shack
Mouser
Digikey
MCM Electronics
Jameco
Newark

Or does anyone have good companies that may stock
these older guys?
The one I'm looking for reads:
fP94AD
DM74LS =20
244WM
The results I've gotten so far aren't perfect matches.
I know it's unlikely but it's worth a try.
Thanks for anything you can add.
