Two questions!

Question #1 - Does Reaper work with the Paris interfaces?

Question #2 - Does anyone have experience with running Paris on any of the brand new super speedy PC's that are available? I have an old Magma 13 slot expansion chassis so I would only need one old-style PCI slot I think. Assuming that my old Magma will work with a new PC. I'm a Mac guy, so all this PC stuff is a mystery to me!

Thanks!

I'll leave question 2 for the many others that know better than I, but as for question #1 - yes it does, but it works far, far better without it. Get yourself an RME 9652 PCI card and flow Reaper into PARIS through that - you'll never look back, you'll have options you never dreamed possible.

Hey Kerry! I keep meaning to call and life gets in the way! What do you mean by "flow Reaper into Paris"? What are the downsides of running the MEC interfaces?

Thanks!

Kerry - do you mean send from Reaper to Paris on the same computer using multiple "sound cards" (9652 and MEC)?

I can't get that to work on my i7 XP box using an M-Audio Firewire I/O and the MEC.

Heck if I even use Reaper/Wavelab/Studio One at the same time as PARIS is open, then PARIS will not pass audio afterwards.

As it is, I'm splitting the PARIS master buss feed out to my MacBook Pro and into Logic or Studio One just to use spectrum and phase meters in real time.

Yes, I absolutely do mean both on the same machine, without a hiccup. Sounds very much like a setup issue, the computer in question is most definitely not as powerful as an i7.

What M-audio FireWire box is it? Their drivers can be nightmares. RME is the way to go.
