and came across two unused, tested, all-good AMEK 501 channel strips (no
fader module). The max bid was sitting at 100 pounds (GBP) or roughly 180
bucks. For grins, I snuck in a bid at closing for 102 pounds and won. Are
these srips of any particular noteworthiness? Does anyone have any
favorable experience with them? Should I move them or go through the
trouble of building out some power and i/o and see if they kick ass?

These are from the AMEK/LANGLEY 501 40ch automated consoles circe '94.

Just my two cents, but it's also free, and you don't even have to download
it.

The downside is that it will log you out of the local m

that allowed you to have multiple remote
desktop sessions concurently with a local session, and it has been reported
that you can use a .dll from this version with XP to get passed the shipping
limitation, but that hack appears to be broken in the more recent versions
of XP (such as Media Center 2005) that I have tried it with.

Good luck!
