Hi All,

My Asrock motherboard died on Friday, and I just got PARIS back up and running
on shiny new Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-DS4H with a Phenom 9350e quad core. I noticed
some posts asking about current motherboards that run PARIS, so I thought
I'd share. This is a 790G series motherboard, so it's got the latest AMD
Phenom chipset with integrated graphics. The screen draws are noticably faster
than the Geforce 6800 they replaced. I decided to try the raid option (raid
0), and the system is fast. PARIS is in an old Magma PCI chassis with the
flat ribbon cable, along with two UAD1 cards.

I had to use the new PSCL and the new ADAT driver to make it work. I'm also
locking PARIS to one CPU using Tom's Hardware utility and the intafinity
filter.

Hope this helps someone decide on an upgrade. one thing I did notice was
that I had to install Visual Studio before my debug build of the ADAT driver
would work. If anyone ever has this problem (no one has ever reported it),
let me know and I'll send you the missing file.

I'm sure that the same success could be had on an Intel MB, but I don't do
Digidesign or Intel.

Cheers!

Mike
