Holy Crap!
First, I met with Ted this afternoon to work on the Liquid mix. He'll have details, but it was a lot fun.
After he left, I kept playing with wrappers, and I discovered a way to get UAD plugins to run under PARIS with 2.9 ms latency.
Thanks so much to Demitrios for putting me on to FFX4. Here's what I did.
1) Disable DX in PARIS
2) Wrap the UAD plugin with the DirectiXer wrapper. Inside DirectiXer is a setting under the options tab called "use equally sized buffers." Click that so that it is on.
3) Point the PARIS VST path at FFX4.
4) Run PARIS and open your wrapped UAD plugin under FFX and voila, 128 sample buffers.
I've only tried this so far with the LA2A, but I loaded up 8 instances, and they seem to all work fine.
I'll post back when I've tried some more plugs.
Holly crap!
Mike

Ok, I tried it with the VCA VU, and it worked, but I could only get 4 copies running before the audio started crapping out. I don't know how I got 8 going because I can't repeat that - maybe in my excitement I got mixed up.
It looks like I can only get 4 copies going no matter what, which may be one per card. It's still cool, though.
