Hello Yasser,

No snobbing going on - stuff just gets overlooked sometimes. It's certainly
happened to me as well.

As far as your C16 problem - that's not a common "fix it" type problem, so
most people really wouldn't know what to tell you. I've had issues with the
cable getting yanked a bit in the output jack, and causing paris to
freak/crash - but once I reset it and reboot, it's fine again. I would
definitely try to get your rig up and running without the C16, and then
start messing with it.

Yeah...I get snubbed all the time here.
It's all part of the PARIS Newsgroup Experience.
:-)

Just Joking.

No, but I think sometimes a lot us know the answers , but are to lazy to
answer something
we have already answered 100 times so we overlook it and assume someone else
will
answer the question.
I might have the record for unanswered questions on here..
I don't think ill will is intended just the people who got the answers are
either too busy or
not inclined to answer that day and then it goes into the forgotten pile.

All peoples are welcome here so please stay and participate Yasser.

If you are using 4 eds cards and 1 mec and 1 c-16...I would try swapping two
of the EDS cards.
The main one with another one and see if the C-16 works in that one.
If not I would think the C-16 is shorted.
I have never taken one apart, but I would take it apart and look for shorts
AFTER I checked the plug connections.

you might want to check the cable connection on the c-16 or the card
as i have one that no longer has all the connections...it took me many
looks between that one and the others to see the bad one.

as to the snub thing...we've got too many peeps rep'd here for that to
be an issue.

No. It is not your name. I have a no-so-common name too but I just pester
people here until they get annoyed and talk to me so I will leave them alone
;o). They know that if they ignore me for too long, I will find out where
they live and come to visit. I did read your post though. I just had no
answer. Perhaps I should have suggested you get a new cable, but I figured
you would have tried that before you posted. Every time I have a problem in
my life (C-16 doesn't work, car won't start, house burns down, dog has
terrible gas, etc.) I can always eventually trace the source of the problem
back to a faulty cable.

Regards,

Deej
