I'm getting started on a remix project. A mix I did last year has almost
sold it's first run of CD's and since I'm getting a % off each one, I had it
in mind to remix a few of the songs that I wasn't really happy with. This CD
is starting to grow some legs, sales are picking up and I want to present
the best product for my client that I can. I was under quite a bit of
stress/time constraints with the last mix and was less than happy with the
result on a few of the songs. Anyway, I pulled the mix up in Cubase that I
was using to stream to the Paris system for summing and reset the bussing
for native ITB. All the panninng was originally done in Paris and signal
processing and relative levelling of tracks/fader automation was being done
on both systems. Even though I wasn't completely happy with the original
mix, trying to recreate the sonic mojo of the original mix is going to be a
challenge. I think I can do it. It will just take more time. That was the
beauty of Paris................you didn't have to think so much about some
things.............................just push up the faders and
smile..............so the new learning curve begins.

Should be fun.
