At some point, someone had posted up about the multiband compression
thing in Paris, using three copies of the L&R pairs, setting bandpass
for each pair, then tweaking to taste.
Since I'm using two of my three monitors on the Mac at the moment, the
pc with the full Paris newsgroup archive on it is down.
Can someone repost the settings for the bandpass? I'd like to give it
a shot to see if I can make this thing not suck.
As long as I'm unemployed, dammit, I'm going to teach myself how to
mix.....

Hi Paul,
I wrote something on that a while back. I did not save it though
(dummy!) so I do not have a copy. It is on the NG a month or so
ago.
Did anyone save that post?

Hey, Paul!
just for the heck of it, I searched the archives and came up with this one:
