If there's anybody on here using a socket 1155 motherboard with either a Sandy Bridge Gen 2 iX-2xxx or an Ivy Bridge Gen 3 iX-3xxx CPU could you chime in here if you get a chance.
I just need to know that you have Paris running ok with these CPUs.

This is my final check regarding the mobo that I'm about to order. I have been in a Tech support email conversation with Intel for the last couple of weeks regarding native PCI chipsets.

They have recommeneded the Q77 chipset which can be found on certain industrial mobos, but they said I needed to contact the maker of my PCI cards to see if there's any compatibility issues with the Ivy Bridge CPUs.
There's no point bothering to try that!

This is the mobo I'm getting:

As they are categorised as "industrial" they are kept in production for at least 5 years, and offer native PCI for all the medical/science/embedded users who have big $$ in specialised PCI cards.

Once I get all the parts I'll do a build thread, and you'll be able to see the very cool case that I got which keeps the mobo horizontal, which will be good for my EDS cards (yes I now have a second card on its way to me!). Smile
