Is the EDS insert compressor set up correctly? I thought I read a post here
a while back saying something was backward or was the opposite of how it
looks like it's set up in Paris?
I am trying to use the eds compressor effectively to crunch a guitar track.
Any thoughts??
Steve

Steve, by crunch you mean limit the dynamic right, not add distortion.
You might try 2 compressors in series with less compression each than just
one and even a limiter to just push down the top.

John, You are correct. The other part of my question was: Is the compressor
set up accurately? I thought I read a post here one time that something was
actually set up opposite of how it displayed in the compressor? Third question
for you John, "use the limiter to just push down the top". That's exactly
what I want to do! Suggestions?

I don't have paris but there should be a "ceiling" that you can pull down
(threshold) and then a make up gain to push everything back up. No Limit
might be just the ticket.
