Go to AES and compare these mics-

]

At $7500.00 (for the VF-14 model), it's $2000.00 more than the Wunderaudio
U47 clone.

http://www.wunderaudio.com/CM7product.html

Mike Castoro at Wunderaudio has a bunch of old '47's and I'm sure Telefunken
has a few in their closet. I wonder if they will have originals available to
A/B with the clones? (and yeah..I know the old ones all sound different so
what's the use-still I'm interested)?

Call me afterwoard and tell me which one I will have to have or I'll die.

Dear DJ,
My microphones (need a couple of months for final completed mic and accessories)
will have the EF14 tube like the wunderaudio will have the ORIGINAL K47 capsule
(reskinned from a Neumann tech) NOT CHINES CLONE capsules like the Peluso
, I will add 8 polar patern to my U47 will be called mUse47 and has a wonderful
sound.
I already record with my prototype !!
The price will be 1799 !!! plus shipping.
I test them for hours and hours and test several tubes for it.
There will be also a version with a substitute tube which is THE SAme AS
ef14 TUBE but has not the hype with all that literature with it.
The sound is THE SAME.
Nothing changes in the circuitry not even a small change anywhere, just this
tube will be called Muse14 and will include a spare one with every mic, both
NOS.
This mic will sell for 1599.
Regards,
Dimitrios

ps: Don't get confused with Peluso U47 because he uses CHINESE capsules
If you want a special Muse47 with a chinese capsule you can get one for 999.
