My Core32 / LDI 12T sat in a box, out of use, for about four or five years.
I resurrected the whole system a week ago - including the old Win98 PII-450
system.
What I used to do was this:
Paris MEC A ADAT Out 1&2 to LDI 12T ADAT In 1&2 ---> PC90 Machine 1
Paris MEC B SPDIF Out L&R to LDI 12T SPDIF In L&R ----> PC90 Machine 2.
Everything happy, two reverbs, blah blah blah.
Now something is messed up, and I haven't changed anything other than
putting the system away for a few years. The card and the LDI interface
were stored outside of the computer, but in antistatic bags etc.
Here's what's happening:
1- Both PC90 are flaky re: reverb levels. The return to Paris, whether by
ADAT, SPDIF or analog, seems to vary from perfectly acceptable to really low
(cranking the Paris AuxRetn to +20 seems to bring it to where it needs to
be).
2- The PC90 sometimes stops passing signal (again, whether analog, ADAT or
SPDIF) and instead sends some 0DbFS of something I can't hear (my guess is
it's below 20Hz). Paris sees it and freaks.
3- The system diagnostics built into the Core32 say everything is fine, but
I still get a Core32 Failed and PC90 failed message at the end of the diag.
I'd love to solve the problem by borrowing gear. Anyone feel up to it?

Have you tried clocking the LDI 12T from an external source?

Yes, in so far as I'm able. I've clocked it by all available clock inputs
on the LDI, but my external word clock is Paris (arguably, not the most
stable WC source).
Besides, it doesn't sound like clock (no pops / clicks etc). It sounds like
garbage.
