That woman doesn't understand that if she had played the age card, "Oh,
I'm so tired, I think I'm going to faint (right here in your lobby)..."
she could have gotten the manager's attention right away, rather than a
trip to the pokey.

The key in situations like this is to keep your eye on what you want,
and figure out how to make the other guy want to give it to you. Of
course, she may have just been looking for something crazy to do, and
she certainly found that.

Or a quick trip to the ER...

But you are right, by being dignified and well-mannered
she actually got poorer service.

None. I just picked them out of a hat. All companies fall down
on customer service at times. and they did for me, but it was
years ago. There's lots of other candidates....

she's now with Verizon? Their service sucks in my experience. Better get the
