Yeah, actually all the IRQ's look OK. Graphics card is GeForce 6600GT in
a nForce3-based motherboard. No ATI chips in sight.
I think I found the answer. I had installed the drivers for the UAD-1
card, but I had pulled out the card prior in order to do some debugging
and never put it back in.
When I uninstalled these drivers, everything seemed a bit happier.
Just discovered this a couple of minutes ago, and Paris is no longer
sucking the CPU dry of cycles.
Thanks Dimitrios and DJ.

It's ALIVE!!!!
OK - time to start adding the second EDS card - double woohoo!
BTW, it was great to meet several of you guys, even if for the short
hour. Oh yeah, and the hot Thai was quite good and edible - still a step
below Siamese Plate's Jungle Curry in heat.

Good news Rhode. I was just dredging up some onld notes I had and years ago,
I did notice that there were many similarities between the UAD-1 driver and
the EDS scherzo driver back when I was using UAD-1's and Paris. that is, I'm
sure, why he EDS and UAD-1 cards can happily share IRQ's. the EDS card is
the only audio hardware that I've ever seen that plays nice with UAD-1 on
the same interrupt (though I have heard that the POCO PCI and UAD-1 will
also do this). Perhaps due to this similarity, there is some crosstalk
between the UAD-1 and Paris Scherzo drivers if there is no UAD-1 card for
the appropriate driver to recognize.
Anyway.....glad you got this sussed....and yeah, it was fun getting
together, although I wussed out and went with the mild Thai.
;o)
