Fellow PARISians: Saturday night May 10th, someone in a smash-and-grab style burglary broke into our auxiliary building. Police and pawn shops have been notified, and we're keeping an eye on Craigslist. The initial inventory of stolen gear:
PARIS system MEC rack with 4 in/out; did not take the Control 16; the rack will not work without one
Pair JBL 4410A speakers
Carvin double-neck 12/6-string electric guitar, blonde, 1970s era, 12-string on upper neck. There's a split in the finish behind 12-string headboard opposite the nut
Parker Fly electric guitar, 1990s, dark blue
Marantz CD620 CD Recorder; did not take the remote
Marantz CDR500 CD recorder/duplicator
SSI Products consumer Pro-Logic decoder
Sony consumer cassette deck
Sanyo(?) consumer CD player
More, as we take a complete inventory.
Thanks,
Curt,
Northstar Recording, Portland, Oregon

didn't have a real email, so I'll reply here, hope that's cool. Actually the
Paris system will operate without a Control Surface 16 on it, FYI. The rack
will not work without an EDS card, however.

Thanks, and you're right, the rack won't work by itself. And, how's the crook gonna sell it?
The guitars were a bummer, though.

Whole thing is a bummer dude, hate to hear it. Sounds like you're pretty on
top of it locally though, so hopefully you'll catch the nabber and toss his
lame butt in the slammer.
