So, me and the other sorta audio guy in the Monkies decided to mix up a couple
of our demos to get a feel for who might mix what and how. I did a song that
I thought sounded really pretty rough, definitely no better than demo quality,
and I didn't even use any of the (very good) creamware reverbs because I
didn't want to hassle with the routing and all. So I send it over kind of
feeling bad because it really needs a few more sessions to buff it up but
at least it's giving some kind of window into what I can do sonics wise in
my mixing room.
So, today I get a sheepish email from the other two main Monkies explaining
that it was just 'too polished' for their taste.
Guess I won't be mixing any Monkies tunes ;-)
