I had an amazing/humbling opportunity yesterday.
long and short of it... a client called me earlier in the week and ask me
to record the Grosse Pointe South(grosse pointe, michigan) Choirs for a Christmas
tribute broadcast that will air this weekend on Armed Forces Radio.
the choirs are absolutely amazing, plus we had a blue star mom read a poem
(I believe it was called "soldiers watch" ). it is a little uncertain as
to whether they are going to use the entire hour sequentially, or split up
and use songs between shows. either way, it was a pretty cool to be involved
in a project that is going to give a little comfort from home to our troops
all around the world.
doesn't matter which side of the fence you are on when it comes to our involvement
in various areas... I believe most of wish they were home for Christmas,
but hopefully this stuff at least brings a smile to a few faces.
I will have it up on a web site for streaming later tonight. we are also
selling copies as a fund raiser for the GPS Choir's trip to Spain this coming
spring. email me if you are interested in one.
