Surely if you're shot dead it's no more or less deadly than anybody else
who's shot dead...? Perhaps they're saying that because more people died...?

Reminds me of our health minister here, Tony Abbott, who I saw on the news
earlier in the week talking about Bird Flu, and making the comment that "If
we were to have an epidemic like the 1915-1918 epidemic, it would be an epidemic
of unprecedented proportions"...

.....rrrriiiiight...

Cheers,
Kim.

Terrific product. I have had a VSII virtual strobe, and now I have a
V-Sam and the software tuner.

I was a beta tester for the Mac version, so we got to help fine-tune
the thing and I love it. It has all the sweetened tunings, variable
concert pitch settings, a zillion intonation choices, an oscilloscope
and spectrum display, and as many of your own presets, instantly
recallable as you want. The manual is even decent, and oh
yeah, there is a PC version too. It even lights up which string you
are tuning.

The sweetened tunings sound great too.

Evidently it runs nicely with most DAW's launched. I couldn't check
it with Paris since there is no OS9 version.

BTW, it is very stable, more even than the stand-alone versions.

The deluxe version is only 79.00 USD.

I love it, I use it, I complained about the manual and a couple of
non-functional features, and they fixed them asap.

Highly recommended.

DCGreat idea. I'll try it.

Yep, and I'm now more determined than ever to find it.

A friend of mine dropped in night before last after a gig. He's in a drum
and bass band. Brilliant drummer he is. It's a very good band, though I'm
not so into drum and bass, but he was agreeing with me about rock being dead.
He made me a CD of some of his favourite drum and bass recordings in an attempt
to turn me on to some of it. I'll have to give it a few listens and see how
I go. I don't think it's me though.

I think I'm getting old and just wanting to listen to more laid back stuff.
;o) Or maybe I'm just wanting to listen to musicians who's prime goal is
to be good musicians, not to get rich and famous. ;o)

Cheers,
Kim.Aaron, I found a vid of you bud! :)

If anyone knows Aaron this is not to far off hahaha. :)

I'm kidding!!

Which model do you recommend, and what have your experiences
with this mobo been? Is it relatively trouble-free with paris XP?
Thanks for any comments.

>Yes, it can be that kind of problem, I know it too well from old Win98 days
but had forgot all about it. Win 98 often didn't uninstall old drivers when
installing new hardware, so it have to be done manually in Safe Mode. When
you're first in Safe Mode, it can be a good idea to control if there's more
doubleshit installed.

Nothing I say will help you right now, but...
I actually stay away from "+" R's for the same reason.
I have had the most luck with Pioneer burners, too, FWIW.
(had Liteon and LG. Neither inspire confidence.)
Also after making a backup, I always copy it back onto my audio drive just
to make sure it will read.
Always burn a little slower than max, and so far Imation and TDK blanks
have never let me down.
Good Luck,

I knew this was good place to turn when I need help.

The problem is solved. It's Roxio Cd Creator.

Memorex put me in touch with "the man" on the west coast.
He'd seen it before. He e-mailed two "cleaner" utiltities: one to take off
the nero
software supplied with the new DVD burner, and a second to clean off roxio
software. He said the regular add remove process would not cut it.

Anyway, in a few minutes my computer has returned to normal without any
major deal.
I'm not watching a dvd yet but I hope to get into what this thing does right
away.

Just wanted to get you guys off the trouble shooting mo
