Woooooohoooooo!!!! It's about time!!!!
Of course, now I have to wait until I'm employed again (cowardly
bastards I used to work for decided to eliminate my position when I
got back from vacation three weeks ago....still job hunting.)
But the instant I have disposable income again, I'm ordering me one of
those! The original mp3's have been living on myPod ever since you
posted them, and are some of my favorite tracks!

Ha! Yeah, er, I suppose that would be cute. I imagine it
would be pretty cute if a girl wore that, too. In fact,
don't tell anyone, but I've seen a couple, ummmm...films, that
featured a girl in nothing but dickies and shoes. Although the
dickies were of a different sort. The girl still looked cute
though. Well, not cute really. More sort of dirty filthy hot.
Uh, what we were talking about?
Persnickety...great word.
Oh yeah, thanks very much for buying the CD Sarah!! Appreciate
it!
-Dicky Persnickey (my new name, left the "t" out, rhymes better.)

Hey Kim, thanks for that, that could be a great idea. We will check into that
for sure. I seem to recall Neil mentioning something like that a while back.
Btw, thanks very much for letting me spam here, I appreciate it.
I know that's usually frowned upon. Hopefully, if anyone is
annoyed, they are not *too* annoyed.
It's so cool so many are still here and using Paris.
Thanks Kim!

Hey Paul, yes, it's quite a miracle we finally got it out. Nearly
as miraculous as a Paris 4 update! Really glad you are still
digging this stuff. Best of luck with the job search, that sucks!

Hehe, well sometimes we bend the rules for ex-paris members anyhow. So long
as it's of interest to the general population here, and you clearly have
a bit of a fan club here, including myself, so you're always welcome. :o)

I just wish that Colorgraphics or *somebody* would make a 6 head AGP
graphics card with a gig of VRAM based on an NVidia chipset so it would
share IRQ's nicely with other devices on the PCI bus.

Get a three headed monster and three Matrox thingies.

Yep, it does. And it seems that every Human Resources director in the
two-state region is on vacation right now...
I'm hoping for an A/V technician gig at the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.
Fish, whales, dolphins, and sound/video toys. Ahhhhhh.....
I'll pass the website link along to Peterik, since as you remember he
went nuts over the demos.

Hey, Macle!
Man, it's good to see you here once again. I still have your original clips
on my iPod and in iTunes, still listening and still enjoying. Like I said
some years ago, this stuff definitely deserves to get played and reach a
wider audience. (Glad some folks here feel the same way and apparently know
some of the right people.) Best of everything with finally getting the CD
done!
Off to buy one right now...
Cheers,
Larry Hogan

I just listened to it while on a day trip down into New Mexico. This is some
very good sutff Macle. Among other topics, I think you guys have written the
first song I've ever heard with the topic being a about a menstural
period........and you did it very well. Damn!!! I couldn't believe it. ;o)
I think It's All About You has the makings of being a serious hit song, but
I also think some of the others do too, especially I Want Some of What
You're On. You guys have some great hooks, both musical and lyric and you
get to them quick and nail the listener........asnd then the song stays in
the listener's head.. I listened to the CD straight through 3 times and
didn't hear anything that bored me or that I disliked. /that's the test for
me and IMHO, there aren't any filler/throwaway songs on it.
Nice Stuff.
;o)

Woah DJ, that is a great review, thank you very much. It's weird,
but even though I posted most of these up and got lots of great
feedback a while ago, finally putting out this CD, I've got
that same sort of nervous feeling you get when you sort of
stick your neck out there. "It's crap, they hate it!" floats
around in my head. Plus the worry that it's old news (although
not to most of the world out there).
Thanks again. As I keep saying, this board is the best!

I've been doing a little playing around with a new reverb processor tonight
and about the time I wwaent brain dead from readiong the manual and tweaking
the parameters, all of a sudden I realized that This Sucks was really
bouncing around in my headspace. That's another really good one. I'm going
to take one of the CD's over to my buddy who knows Tony Ferguson tomorrow.
We're setting up the expo gig in Park Cities right now. I want to see what
his teenage daughter (high school seniors) and her friends think about this
CD. I think This Sucks may ge a generational anthem..........sort of like
For What It's Worth by Stephen Stills/Buffalo Springfield was for my
generation. Fingerprints is cool.........very catchy musical arrangement for
such a dark topic. You pulled that one off well too.
Cheers,
DJ

Thanks DJ! People are going to think I'm paying you to say
all this stuff! Will be interesting to hear what those girls
think. We wanted this to have some sort of appeal in different
ways...accessible and fun, but not just cheesy teen pop,
modern but vintage, even in a goofball song like This Sucks, tried to inject
some sarcastic humor and some Beatley things...
anyway, thanks very much!
