control 16 freeze and missing 442 in patchbay [message #77724]

Just loaded Paris 3.0 into WinXP from 98 whereParis was working fine. Now
upon loading the Control 16 is frozen and cannot playback or anything. Sometimes
it loads ok and does work. Also the 442 is often missing in the patchbay.
Have to exit and start up a few times and then it's there. Any help out there
?

Did you locate/use the BETA XP drivers, and if so were you very, very
careful to watch what path the subsystem patch installed to?
