Anybody used this? I'm thinking of it as a direct box for practicing and such.
Opinions?

I own it, as well as Amplitube 2, Logic Guitar Amp, Nigel, and Amp Farm 3.
Amplitube 2 blows them all away, with Amp Farm III coming in 2nd (but it's TDM only).
AT2 responds to your playing much more like a tube amp does.
Guitar Rig II is decent, the effects are nice, but there's no comparison.
Cheers,
TC

It depends on the style of playing. I think for Clean, funk,Country, Jazz,
Rig 2 is the champ.
Amplitude 2 has some nice crunch and burn tones, however,I would not say
that it's better for rock than Rig 2..
All depends on the style you;re going for.

True, the sounds are very good and tweakable on both, but AT2 just feels better to me.
To me it's a little like playing a pod vs. playing a tube amp.
Cheers,
