Hi folks. If any of you have any difficulties logging in or remembering your password (or if you were a contributor on the NG and see you have an account here and think "password? what password?") - just reset your password and get a new one via email, you can always set it back afterwards. If that doesn't resolve things quickly, contact me and I'll sort it out right away.

I do apologize for the state of the older posts. This would have normally been resolved in the course of a resync with the NG, but the prolonged absence of the NG has caught me by surprise too. I wish I had some news to report, but I haven't got any more info than anyone else. We all wish Kim well, and look forward to the NG coming back up as soon as whatever difficulties are going on get resolved.

UPDATE 06/12/09: After more than a month of the NG's absence, and with no timeframe for its return, I think it's time for the use of another method to sort out the damaged older posts. Expect some disturbances in the Force over the next few days while I'm restoring sections of the forum from backup.

Thanks for your patience!

UPDATE 06/30/09: I've been updating the community census to account for the recent increases. It would seem we've taken a significant jump upwards; we now stand at 190 *current PARIS users*, many of whom are new community members (welcome!). Not bad for eight years after discontinuation.

Interestingly, we have some folks in their 20s joining us - which likely indicates new (or at least non-original-purchaser) PARIS users. A double welcome to you folks - let us know if you need any help getting your rigs running properly, and bring us ol' folks some new music! Very Happy

- K

Hi Kerry,

Thanks for keeping things afloat here. I keep reading the posts and am encouraged by the skins thread. I'm always using Paris and continually looking for progress. Yeah.

Thanks as always,
Tom

Dear All Defenders of the Paris,
I just discovered the forum, Hallelujah, brother,
I love this place!
I have had my Paris system since '98, I have refused to give up on it over the years even with much
derision from my peers.
Of course they never complained about the sound!
And now, as a matter of fact I'm going to add
to my set up, can't wait to try the new drivers,
on a multi process mobo, OH Boy! Plug ins, Yippy!
Keep up the fabulous work and count on my
support. My robust thanks to all
who made this possible, the world is a better place.
Johnny

Johnny, welcome to the forums - glad you found us!

I can tell you the drivers seem to be rock-solid for users. And the verbs alone are killers - they're "must haves" for PARIS, Mike actually mentioned ditching his hardware verbs after he finished them. And so he might; they're the same algorithms running on the same dedicated processors that were in the hardware DP/4 and DP/Pro, but all internal to PARIS using its convertors etc.

You're very welcome, all of you guys- it's truly a pleasure. Here's to a lot of good years left in the old gal!

- Kerry

Hi Kerry,
I can't find the password reset page.
It's not in account settings (that I can see)
Sadly, I just did this somehow last week, and can't even find the email that had the reset.
If you could send or post a link, that would be great,
Thanks,
Jeff Batter
