[I posted something in the creator software thread, but I figured it
would be better to start a new thread.]
I'm firmly on the fence about the ole' hardware vs. software argument.
I've got both, and depending upon the day, I use one, the other, or
both. For software verb, I've pretty much only been using Altiverb
lately. It's great for creating spaces, but sometimes I would prefer
some kind of "algorithmic" verb if that makes sense. I use a KSP-8 in
the studio and I recently got a PCM-91, which is really really nice, but
I don't have anything like either of them in software. There's supposed
to be a nice verb for the TC Powercore, but if I'm going to look into
the TC stuff, would it be better to just head straight for an M3000?
How many of you guys are still using hardware verb units? Which ones?
Are you switching to software any time soon?
Doug
