Howdy.

What would be a maximum viable length for SPDIF cables if I am clocking via
SPDIF as well as sending audio data? And how easy is it to crimp new
connectors if I need to?

Also, MEC SPDIF connectors do pass 24 bits, correct?

Thanks!
Jimmy

Unfortunately, the only appropriate answer is: “The longest cable that works”.
I am not being flippant. The quality of the cable, connectors, and even the
SPDIF driver-IC all contribute.
I have run a 25-foot SPDIF successfully if that helps.

MEC SPDIF is 24.
