Hi Suad,
nice looking setup. I see a lot of external (hardware) stuff.
Do you only work with PARIS or do you also use a mixer?
Kind Regards,
Thomas

All with paris + cubase with RME on second comp.
The setup is:
4xEDS, 4xMEC, 5x24bit8in, 2x24bit8out, 4xADAT interface, 2xC16
+ 2xRME hdsp9652, RME fireface 800
All synced well.
All running on two P4 3.2 northwood with intel main boards and 2GB ram.
Win xp and win 2000.
So it is 56 analog inputs, 32 analog outputs, 4 spidif i/o, 32 adat i/o...
So Thomas, with these i/o capability, who needs an external mixer? ;-)
I also do many music in "live mix" mode....
Cheers!

Hi Suad,
So, how are you using Cubase and PARIS together? That is, are you tracking
in Cubase? Mixing in PARIS? Or? I am putting together another rig for
MIDI, VISTis and possibly some editing. Will be using Samplitude probably -
will try out their demo when I get an audio interface. (Also have demos for
Cubase SX , Nuendo and Sonar).
Thanks,
Edna

Well, I'm using cubase for MIDI, VSTi, loops, rex..... so cubase is used
for composing and arranging music, not for mixing. (as cubase was intended
at the first
place on atari... ;-)
Cubase is on second computer interfaced with an RME hdsp9652 card using
all 3 ADAT outs + spdif + ADAT Sync + wordclock + MIDEX8.
These gives me 26 digital outputs from cubase to paris in PERFECT
sync and excelent midi timing for external synths.
All that 26 outputs from cubase + all my hardware synthesizers +
hardware fx are connected to paris and all mixing and tracking is
done in paris.
If you want to make another rig for midi and vsti, it's very important
that you choose a soundcard with adat sync and asio2 sync capable
software. It's crucial if you want perfect sync between paris and
sequencing software.
As I know, RME + cubase (5.1 or SX or nuendo) is an excelent
combination... Actually, I'm using an trusty Cubase 5.2 with midex8.
Check for samplitude asio2 sync support, I not sure about it....
Cheers!

Very nice setup Suad.
What studio furniture are you using? Seems very conducive to the work flow.
Congrats on the Oscar show!!!

Studio furniture? I made it all by myself.
I think that's the best way, because you can
fit it 100% to your needs and to your equipment...
.....Of course, if you are familiar with tehnical drawing,
geometrics, mathematics and tools... ;-)
Cheers!
